How many years have you been a participant at Mudfest? Last year was my first mudrun. Anywhere.
What made you first sign up for the Daniel Barden Mudfest and what keeps you coming back? I have a wonderful, ambitious group of coworkers who have run for a few years and invited me to join their team. I was scared and out of shape. But it was the best bonding experience and it became part of my motivation to get healthier and try harder. I lost 50lbs since last year. And I can’t wait to get back in the mud!
What’s your favorite Mudfest memory to date? I remember the final obstacle last year. Walking across wet, muddy logs above a dumpster of water… after surviving everything else. I prayed to not fall in or break anything after I had gone so far. I didn’t want to quit. I just wanted to finish. And I did!
What would you say to someone who is still on the edge about signing up for the Daniel Barden Mudfest? Young or old, in shape or a little rusty. We run together. One team, one fight!
